The principals of Meizlish & Grayson, Bruce H. Meizlish and Deborah R.   • MISCLASSIFICATION OF WORKERS AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

    On September 10, 2009, the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service were instructed by Congress to increase their efforts to probe improper classification of workers as independent contractors instead of employees.

  • USA Today Reports a Spike in Complaints of Wage Theft

    USA Today recently reported that complaints of wage theft have risen as the economy has tumbled. Allegations range from under-payments to not getting paid at all.
